Trip overview

A 3-day adventure highlights the beauty and diversity of the breathtaking landscape. You will have the chance to visit three magnificent world nature areas, Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro crater, featuring wildlife including African black rhinos. A safaris experience in the northern zone means an isolated comfort nature area and wildlife game drives.

Trekking Summary (5 days 4 nights)

It was discovered that the Marangu route leads to the summit of Kilimanjaro’s Uhuru Peak. It is a magnificent and remarkable trekking route for many climbers. Our professional mountain guide will lead you on the route, and then you will see the spectacular view from the highest mountain in Africa soon after reaching Uhuru Peak.

Day 1Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, meet your professional driver guide and depart for Tarangire National Park. In Tarangire Park, you’ll see elephants, Baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and an impressive river that provides drinking water and a place to cool off under the hot African sun. View giraffes, bushbucks and hartebeest up close. Many herbivores attract predators such as lions and leopards. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush with the pure taste of African black coffee. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Day 2Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Accommodation in Moshi

In your accommodation, you will be provided with a well-prepared breakfast, after which you will depart to explore the Largest Caldera of Ngorongoro Crater. There are several extinct volcanoes surrounding the Ngorongoro Crater, and its floor is punctuated by watering holes that shelter between 30,000 and 40,000 animals. It is likely that you will see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, jackals, rhinoceroses, antelopes and birds. Here, you may see eagle, vulture, flamingo (in Lake Magadi), stork, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long-necked heron and cattle egret. A picnic lunch will be served at a hippo pool. Upon reaching the rim, we transferred to Moshi for dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Day 3Resting at your comfort hotel in Moshi

We recommend that you take this day to acclimatize to your accommodation in Moshi, enjoy a relaxing and breath-taking moment and prepare yourself for the following day’s Marangu route trekking. Your accommodation will provide you with dinner and overnight.

Day 4Moshi to Marangu Gate and hike up to Mandara Hut

8km (Marangu gate to Mandara) | Approximately: 4 to 5hrs (Marangu Gate to Mandara hut)

On this beautiful morning, you will enjoy your breakfast at the accommodation and then head to the gate for the entrance and registration process. Upon leaving the park gate it’s time for the paperwork and you begin the hike to Mandara hut where you will spend the first night in the Mountain. Your first overnight place will be Mandara Hut after ascending through the wonderful tropical rainforest and spotting mountain plant and animal species. You will stop over at the Mandara hut for dinner and overnight after your long hike.

Day 5Mandara Hut - Horombo Hut

12km (Mandara to Horombo) | Approximately: 6 to 8hrs (Mandara hut to Horombo hut)

Early in the morning, you will be accompanied by your guide and mountain after your delicious breakfast at Mandara hut and proceed with your hike until reaching the high moorland forest. Towards the end of this hike, you will see the two Kilimanjaro peaks — Kibo and Mawenzi — for the first time. After the hike then you will just have an overnight at Horombo Hut.

Day 6Horombo Hut - Kibo Hut

10km (Horombo to Kibo) | Approximately: 6 to 8hrs (Horombo hut to Kibo hut)

There will be moderate hiking throughout the day, then we’ll cross over the saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi, the two cones that make up Kilimanjaro. On the way there, you will stop at your third overnight hut at Kibo, which is located below the crater rim. Then it’s time for dinner and a long sleep before the summit adventure experience which is tremendous as the mountain’s highest point is Uhuru.

Day 7Kibo Hut - Horombo Hut

  • 6km (Kibo Hut to Horombo) | Approximately: 6 to 8hrs (Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak)
  • 16km (Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut) | Approximately: 4 to 5hrs (Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut)

On this day you will wake up very early in the morning around midnight. 2:00am starts ascending towards Uhuru Peak.The hike of the Kilimanjaro Adventure can be both mentally and physically challenging because of factors such as wind, cold, elevation and the time of day.e conditions. Normally, for adventure enthusiasts, stand firm and courageous to complete the climb up the summit of the highest free standing mountain in the world. This event will make up your day and enjoy the really incredible point while taking the beautiful photos for the lifetime memory.

Day 8Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate & Transferred to Moshi

  • 20km (Horombo to Marangu Gate): 5 to 7hrs (Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate)

After your breakfast, you will descend down to the Marangu Gate, your exit point. A walk through the dense rainforest will provide you with the opportunity to experience a tropical rainforest and its beautiful natural landscape. After completing the adventure with Brilliant Adventures and Safaris, you will be transferred to the agreed-upon point.
